ACONT Inc ACONT - the Australian Committee of Natural Therapies Inc., is a national association representing Natural, Traditional, Bioenergetic and Magnetic Therapies. ACONT ADC ACONT ADC is a newly formed and important part of ACONT, and is for the assistance for manufacturers, importers, suppliers, and also the practitioners, of complementary and alternative medical therapy and devices. By working more closely with officers in the Office of Devices within the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), it will give us a united voice with the authority controlling all medical devices in Australia. There are some very critical issues facing those supplying all such devices. Many are not aware of the regulatory changes already in law since October 2002. If you are not sure that you are currently fully compliant, or are not aware of the new regulations, please email your enquiries to adc@acont.org.au and also, most importantly visit the Devices section of the TGA website for the Regulations and changes. Refer to the Information page herein. The new regulations are in effect from Tuesday the 5th of October, 2004. Schedule 1 ACONT is also a Schedule 1 Association listed with the TGA, representing qualified Natural Therapies Practitioners of many different ingestive modalities. All suitably qualified Schedule 1 practitioners receive a TGA Advertising Exemption Certificate, which allows them to acquire restricted advertising material concerning Schedule 1 products, and may assist in obtaining Schedule 1 products for their clients.
